Over the years, we have made a profound impact on communities by rescuing vulnerable children, empowering women through self-help groups, supporting livelihoods, and promoting sustainable agriculture. Our initiatives have transformed lives by providing shelter, education, employment, and environmental conservation, fostering long-term social and economic growth.
Child Welfare & Protection

Rescued over 52 infants (1 day to 3 years old) from streets, dustbins, and hospitals in the past three years.

25 children placed for adoption as per legal procedures.

21 babies reunited with their families.

6 infants currently under our care in the Adoption Centre.

Our child helpline received 3165 cases over five years, providing shelter, medical aid, education, and emotional support.

Women Empowerment & Self-Help Groups (SHGs)

Established 3000+ Self-Help Groups (SHGs), enabling women to transition from savings to entrepreneurship in areas such as:

Industry-based outsourcing

Facilitated the formation of Shakthi Souhardha Women Self-Help Group Cooperative in Mandya District (2006), now independently operational.

Spearheaded the creation of Karnataka’s only 100% women-led Gram Panchayat in Gopalapura, Mandya Taluk (2005-2010).
Livelihood & Economic Development

Formed 1600+ Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) under the Rajeev Gandhi Chaitanya Yojane (NRLM) self-employment scheme.

Benefitted 7800+ rural youths through skill training, bank coordination, and financial aid.

Conducted 6-day Entrepreneurial Development Programs (EDP) to empower young entrepreneurs.

Vikasana secured 2nd place in Karnataka for effective implementation of this program.

Assisted 83 SHG members from BPL and slum areas in purchasing 3.5 acres of land for constructing homes.

Ensured land approvals and grants of ₹1.5 lakh per house from Mandya Urban Development Authority.

Housing & Shelter Initiatives

Supported 100 SHGs of Beedi-rolling women in Mandya Town, enabling them to secure 1500 houses under the Rajeev Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation.
Sustainable Agriculture & Environmental Conservation

Rehabilitated 20,000+ hectares of dry and degraded land through community-driven watershed programs in collaboration with NABARD, ITC, and government agencies.

Implemented organic farming practices across six villages for over five years, helping farmers obtain organic certification.

Established the Janadhanya Desi Seed Bank in Malligehalli, Malavalli Taluk, Mandya District.

Home to 300+ members, preserving 120+ varieties of paddy, 60+ varieties of Ragi, and various vegetable seeds.

Formed 30+ WEBSAP (Women-Based Sustainable Agriculture Practice) groups, fostering mutual farming through shared infrastructure.
